    Proceedings of the 1st International Congress of Energy and Industial Process Engineering CEGPI’22 23-25 May 2022-Algeria

    The first International Congress of Energy and Industrial Process Engineering is organized by the Laboratory Valorization & Recycling of Matter for Sustainable Development (VRMDD) of the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumedienne. This said laboratory, born in April 2021, froms a new dynamic created in response to the emerging challenges of sustainable development. It is organized around a human potential specialized in Process Engineering. This human component is strongly committed to the conduct of new research areas centred on sustainable development. The research themes adopted in this laboratory focus on the development of innovative treatment processes and the valorisation of ores, industrial by-products and biomass. The strength of this team lies in the experience acquired by its researchers in the eld of design, implementation and optimisation of various processes as well as the modelling of transfer phenomena. In the perspective of establishing new partnership relations with the economic sector, national and international scientists, the members of this laboratory are happy to be able to organize the rst international congress of Energies and Industrial Process Engineering (CEGPI22) and to gather speakers of international and national fame at the Mercure Hotel in Algiers from May 23 to 25, 2022. The rapprochement of industrialists with academic researchers on the occasion of this congress is an opportunity for both parties to establish partnerships in the eld of Industrial Process Engineering.In order to o er the opportunity to a large number of researchers to participate in CEGPI-2022 and to exchange their knowledge on the new technological challenges and problems encountered in Industry, the hybrid mode of participation is o ered for the di erent themes of the rst edition of the congress. CEGPI22 participants will bene t from conferences that will be led by renowned European and national keynote speakers. The best papers selected by the scienti c committee will be o ered the opportunity to publish their results as research papers in the conference proceedings.More than 700 abstracts from various national and foreign universities and research centres were submitted to the organising committee. After careful examination by the scienti- c committee, a total of 97 oral presentations and 170 posters were selected. These days are enriched by 2 plenary conferences and 6 main conferences animated by internationally renowned scientists.
